In the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere, us hearty MN, WI, IA and North/South Dakota residents often find ourselves who test low on vitamin D. Vitamin D is so important for our bones and teeth, muscles, nerves, immune system and mental health. It can impact our sleep quality and ability to focus. While your Middle and High Schoolers have some time off, as well as university students are home for the holidays bring them in for a quick Vitamin D check.

The Details: 

  • Dec 29-January 29 Monday - Thursday 12:00pm - 5:30pm

  • A quick finger poke

  • Cost is $35 and your email (for results)

  • Results will come back in about 7-10 days - in time to return to school with a plan if it’s is too low or too high.

As a reminder, 20 minutes of sunlight a few times a week or eating Vitamin D rich foods (below) regularly will help!

  • Sources of Vitamin D Rich Foods: 

  • Fish oils

  • Egg yolks

  • Fortified Orange Juice

  • Mushrooms

  • Dairy products fortified with vitamin D

  • Yogurts or puddings

  • Fish, Salmon, Tuna
